Linux on a cash register

Here's the main unit, all assembled. The steel box the monitor is on holds a little PC. You can see the floppy drive peeking out through its slot above the keyboard. It's got a 14" Optiquest monitor. To the right is a thermal printer. A fast one, too. It prints a test sheet about 10" long in like half a second. Behind it is a LED display on a pole. It appears to hook into one of the serial ports. On the left is a Cue:Cat, which I'm using as my barcode scanner until I can get a "real" one for it.

Notoriously absent is the cash drawer. It's a big steel thing and the rest of the unit sits on top of it.
